What's New 2010 Toyota 4Runner S45

It’s not often that a vehicle becomes an icon, but 4Runner makes the grade. All-new for 2010, the fifth-generation 4Runner continues a proud tradition of superb off-road ability combined with mannered on-road performance. But now, 4Runner’s already high standards have been thoroughly enhanced and refined. As a result, the new 2010 4Runner is a benchmark vehicle the competition could be studying (perhaps emulating) for years to come.
1) Impressive Off-road Technology
Kinetic Dynamic Suspension System (KDSS)2,
A-TRAC3, Multi-Terrain Select4, HAC5 and DAC6 or
Crawl Control4 all work to help give the 4Runner
driver the confidence to conquer a variety of offroad
terrain.
2) Rugged 4x4 Features
4Runner 4x4 gets the hardware right, with bodyon-
frame construction and a 2-speed transfer case.
Limited boasts a Torsen® center differential7 with
locking feature; Trail and SR5 get a simple and
reliable part-time 4WD system.
3) Everyday Flexibility
4Runner is a great everyday vehicle. For passengers,
a 40/20/40 split reclining 2nd-row seat and an
available 50/50 split 3rd-row seat cover the bases.
For cargo, a 440 lb. capacity sliding rear cargo deck8
can make loading/unloading a snap.
4) Luxury, On-road or Off
4Runner’s luxury interior can include a tilt/slide
moonroof9, automatic climate control9, iPod®
integration, XM® satellite radio, navigation10 and
more. Party Mode speakers in the rear hatch help
turn a tailgate picnic into an event.
5) More Power, More Economy
For 2010, 4Runner V6 hits the trifecta: better
horsepower (up by 34), better torque (up by 12 lb.-
ft) and better fuel economy ratings (up by 1 mpg
city / 2 mpg hwy)11,13 than last year.
